Being thankful today....

Photobucket

I have so many people to be thankful for! My crazy family, my RL friends who put up with me, and most recently, my online friends who are there for me, share my love of naughty books, and see me through some challenging times this year. There's a lot going on with work and other stuff, lots of uncertainty, and I'm not good with the sharing my feelings thing, but online there's a level of freedom that allows me to do that. And it's been a wonderful community that I adore.

And I now know some really amazing, funny, crazy beautiful, strange and loving people who seem to get me, so big, big hugs and smooches to you all. Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you get to spend today with your loved ones :)

Guest spotlight: Laurie
I am BEYOND thrilled to have my very special guest here today. I have known Laurie for many years, since I hopped on the internet and joined Lori Foster's Yahoo group. Since then, I've had the fortune to meet with Laurie in person several times, most recently this past June at Lori Foster's/Dianne Castell's annual Reader/Author get together.

She is one of the most special people I have ever met, and I sincerely love her to pieces. Not only is Laurie sweet and charming, she's funny as hell (don't let that cute and innocent face fool you, she's got more than a wee bit o' the devil in her, God bless her *g*). And she spearheads an annual troop donation project that garners box upon box of items for our beloved troops. Just check out this picture from her blog of a recent collection of items. She's an angel through and through, a wonderful friend, and one of my favorite people on the planet. Now here's your turn to get to know my good pal, Laurie :)

Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

I live in a small city in central Ohio and am the legal assistant to the senior partner in a civil practice law firm. I've been married for 31 years and we have two lovely daughters, 20 and 25. I like to joke that my hub robbed the cradle. Yes, we were young when we married, at 20 and 19, but the truth is that I'm just plain getting old!

I've been a romance reader since I was 14. I love to chat about books, the talents of my favorite authors and occasional personal tidbits on my blog at Laurie's Laudanum. I post independent reviews on my blog as well as reviews I write on behalf of Romance Junkies. I would like nothing more than to write a book and always seem to have story ideas running through my mind, some have even merited a few jotted notes and ideas, but I guess the desire (and self-confidence?) haven't been strong enough to actually try to make it happen. I don't know if I could give up reading for the amount of time that would have to be dedicated enough to make a worthwhile attempt.

Besides my family, one thing I'm very proud of is working with my dear friend Lori Foster for the past six or so years on what we simply call our troop project. We shop for and ship to deployed troops and with the boxes that are going to be shipped tomorrow, we have reached a milestone of 1000 pounds. I always wish that each shipment could be our last, but it looks like our servicemen and women are going to be needing our support for quite a bit longer.

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I am curently reading Alison Kent's THE ICING ON THE CAKE and am absolutely loving it! I've always said that I would recommend Alison's grocery list as recommended reading, I love her work so much!
What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

There are so many that I'm looking forward to including upcoming releases from Stephanie Tyler, Roxanne St. Claire, Jill Sorensen, Jill Shalvis, Maya Banks and Jaci Burton, but the one I absolutely cannot wait for (and recently blogged about!) is Pamela Clare's BREAKING POINT. Waiting until next July will be rough.

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

I tend to use my iPod more for Kindle app reading and Twitter; can't honestly say that I listen to music on it non-stop. My music tastes are fairly eclectic and my rotation includes my main man (here I go again, dating myself), Bob Seger, and Dean Martin, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, k.d. lang, The Royales (an Ohio jazz/funk group), Tony Bennett, Louis Armstrong, Patsy Cline, Rihanna, Alison Kraus, James Taylor, Bobby Darin, Carole King and Carly Simon.

What are your favorite places to visit online?

I won't name individual author blogs for fear of leaving someone out, but I enjoy Dear Author, Smart Bitches, Stacy's Place on Earth (hugs), Romance Junkies, *red-faced* People of WalMart, Awkward Family Photos, and CNN and msnbc for news updates.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show? Restaurant?

I'd be lost without Diet Coke, frosted brownies and (plain) M&Ms. My favorite television shows right now are Lie to Me, Bones and although I haven't been able to find it for a while now, I loved Paranormal State. We watch a lot of Project Runway, but admittedly haven't been as devoted this season as in past seasons. As for my favorite restaurant, I'm not sure that I really have just one. There's a little hole in the wall pizza place called Bennys that I love, but we also enjoy Olive Garden, Max & Erma's and City Barbecue. Obviously, our tastes aren't terribly sophisticated.

Which hottie out there is to die for?

I'm not as familiar with "hotties" as other women seem to be, at least by name, but I never get tired of looking at Carter Oosterhouse - his face is one that comes to mind when I picture fictional heroes. I remember having a huge crush on Lee Horsley (Matt Houston, anyone?) back in the day and when my oldest daughter loved MacGuyver when she was very young, it wasn't a hardship for me to watch it with her every week. Lee Horsley and Richard Dean Anderson have both aged very well! I have difficulty ogling guys that are young enough to be my sons!
Besides hanging on the internet, what are some of your hobbies?

I love to bake and make candy, especially for family and friends during the holidays. My husband and I enjoy visiting antique fairs/flea markets and going to antique shops. Our tastes are fairly simple and inexpensive. He likes old marbles and I collect lady head vases, unique decks of cards and old dice. I enjoy making jewelry and doing crafts with my daughters.

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

My hub is a real sweetheart and is always doing little things that mean so much to so many. He leaves the girls and I notes all through the house, picks my favorite flowers and leaves bouquets through the house, and stops to buy our favorite sweet treats to surprise us (and my 80 year old mom). He's also known for taking boxes of donuts/muffins to our doctor, dentist and veterinarian's offices.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Not sure there's anything about me that would surprise anyone. I'm exceptionally ordinary! I suppose some might be surprised that I swear like a sailor. Not always out loud, but in my mind or alone in the car? Oh yeah, I'm spewing filthy words. One quirk - I sort and eat my M&Ms by color. My favorite thing to eat with M&Ms is Fritos corn chips. Strange? Probably.

Well Laurie, you are wrong, because you are far from ordinary. And after this, I think you're cooler than ever :) Thank you for being here today. You brightened up my Tuesday. Have a great week hon!

Guest spotlight: Leontine

It's Leontine Time! This girl is one of my absolute favorite book reviewers. She completely blows me away with the way she describes a book. And she's got a fabulous blog to post those reviews. You can also go there just for her stable of studs and believe me, you will be well satisfied ;)

Here's Leontine to tell you a little about herself, and God bless her for being here today.

Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

My name is Leontine, I’m 34 years young and once upon a time I graduated for my degree of neonatal nurse but I worked many years in a children’s daycare centre and now lead the *coughexcitingcough* life of an naughty romance researcher. I’m an avid reader of Paranormal Romance / UF / Fantasy Romance / Erotica, M/M – BDSM – Ménage – Dark Erotica and as a side dish also read Contemporary, Romantic Suspense and Historical Romance. Uhm, yeah, I might as well call myself a very eclectic reader *grin* Next to being an avid reader I consider myself a person who loves to blog too. Sometimes it’s a time suck spinning out of control but at the end of the day I still enjoy it to the fullest!

Since I was a wee young girl I always had a vivid imagination and for a part lived in my head. This hasn’t changes as an adult and part of me would love to write :) I think I definitely have the imagination for it but between my imagination and my keyboard to write it up in a story is a huge glitch. So I’m the only one who is currently enjoying all my fantasies but you never know what the future might bring. Never say never!

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

My Blog carries the name; Leontine’s Book Realm; A Naughty Romance Researcher At Play. It is literally a place where I get to play with all the things I love so much regarding books. I aim to have a blend of reviews, features, some promo like guestblogs and interviews, and a bit of personal stuff - mostly regarding me as a reader.

I love character interviews and though I haven’t taken the time lately The Beefcake Preview Club is still a feature that’s going to be present again on my blog.

Next to this I’m also the Cover Hussy Queen of the Cover Hussy Club. I love covers, cover candy and a cover artist creativity, so me and a group of ladies decided to have one day a month where we present our “cover research”.

Next to this I also have temporarily features. This summer I had the Smutty Researcher At Play feature; 14 days of erotic fun is what we had :) This Fall I have my ‘The Vampire, The Shapeshifter & The Kick Ass Chick feature; I looked at my pile PNR books and I just had to sample some new authors. A feature like this always is an extra push for me to get going. Coming December I will have an Angels feature, not sure what it’s all going to entail but Angels have invaded my shelves this last year!

Next to LBR I also have my place in the ROOB posse at REALMS ON OUR BOOKSHELVES . I think if there is one place that’s been my home with all the changes I’ve gone through as a reader of English novels then it’s this place, and for that fact only it holds a very dear place in my heart! Not to mention I share my love for books there with three fabulous chicks: Natascha, Marissa & Pearl.

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

Currently (9-13-2010) I’m reading Stacia Kane with UNHOLY GHOSTS and the kick off novel in this series is impressive so far so I would certainly rec it and later today I’m going to start in a debut erotica from Kele Moon titled; BEYOND EDEN!

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

I have two books I’m pining for: C.L. Wilson’s CROWN OF CRYSTAL FLAME ( I always have to look up the title, for me it’s still Tairen Soul LOL) I also can’t wait to get my hands on Nalini Singh’s PLAY OF PASSION, Singh is one of my author who constantly gives me books I love to read.

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

Uhm, yeah, here is where I tell you I’m a gadget Neanderthal and have no iPod. I love to listen to various songs from Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Enrique.

What are your favorite places to visit online?

Google is by far the site I visit the most on a day. It’s my gateway to all sorts of info and images a book & creative junkie needs.

Of course I have a “few” blogs I regularly visit, the one’s of; Fiction Vixen, Cecile, my sister Natascha, Blodeuedd, KC/K-Khan, Tanya, Pearl, Marissa, Mandi, Carolyn, Erotic Horizon, just to name a few.

I also tend to visit The Saurus.com a lot for my synonym’s. Quite some time ago I realized how stuck I was in a certain loop of English words while I write my reviews, so synonyms were the answer :)

And I just wanted to add, since it’s so very me – my favorite programs to work with on the computer are Photoshop and Artisteer (blog design) If that wasn’t on my computer I would be so lost.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show? restaurant?

I love a coke and rum. I’m always in the mood to munch on spare-ribs / pasta / a good salad and all things chocolate. I have a select few TV series I actually continue to watch and I am more a gal of watching a TV series on DVD; DEXTER – SUPERNATURAL – GREY’S ANATOMY – COLD CASE – THE CLOSER – NIP/TUCK – WITHOUT A TRACE – LAW & ORDER SVU and HOUSE. Hhhmmmmm, well, perhaps it’s more than a few huh ;)

Which hottie out there is to die for?

Can I just give you the key to my Stud Stable? Here is what dwells there, I dubbed this one Giovanni.

What is something unique about where you live?

*I iz pondering now* I live in a small town so there’s not much here that will baffle you? I have a three hundred year old working mill behind my apartment complex…would that be unique?

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

It’s the small gestures of my hubby that have the most romantic impact on me. Taking me outside to soak up some sunshine when I feel gloomy, giving me a hug when I have a crappy day, say that I’m still sexy when I feel bloated and giving me an unexpected pressie at an unexpected moment and knowing exactly what makes me happy.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

That I got to know my hubby via a contact ad in a magazine and had a scorching hot letter exchange before we actually met two months later.

*Fans self* Wow, that sounds like a romance story in the making! Thank you Leontine, for joining me today. I LOVED having you here, and I admit, I adore chatty visitors. You made my day.

And I'm definitely going to have to check out some of these web places you mentioned. Interesting and informative, that's what my guests bring to the table :) Thank you all for visiting with Leontine today. You guys make the internet a fun place to hang out :)

Guest spotlight: Marissa
Hey, welcome to another exciting edition of Guest Spotlight! *g* I'm so glad my Marissa, my lovely guest today, sent me this picture you see above. What reader doesn't just drool over all those books. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I thought it should kick off her post.

[And you may notice that Marissa called me Tracy. I purposely left it in because I get called Tracy ALL THE TIME, so it's not unusual for me to respond to it, and I thought it was cute! :) ]

But today is all about Marissa, and I'm thrilled to have her her today. I love her blog and wish she was able to visit on Twitter more often. And Marissa just so you know, you are NOT boring!!!

Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

Hi Tracy, thanks for having me as a guest on your blog.

My name is Marissa; I live near Rotterdam in the Netherlands with my partner and my two kids (7 and 3). As a child I used to travel frequently and lived a while in Africa and some other places as my father worked abroad, but now I am firmly grounded in The Netherlands, after all there’s no place like home. I am in my thirty’s and recently went back to work as an office manager & paralegal, and though I love my work it is seriously getting in the way of my addiction... books!

I love to read and like to blog every now and then when I have the time. I am not a writer nor want to be one. No talent whatsoever for that, it always amazes me how some writers can surprise you with their storylines and drool-worthy characters, I love that so I will stick to reading.

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

My blog is Marissa's Lair. I review romance books. My favorite genres are historical, paranormal, and contemporary romance, erotica and romantic suspense. The genres you won't find at my blog are urban fantasy and young adult, I don't know why but somehow those genres do not appeal to me. But maybe one day... I am willing to try out other genres if the blurb of a book appeals to me. I also review for Realms On Our Bookshelves.

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I have just finished Hot Finish by Erin McCarthy, part 3 of her Fast Track series. Would I recommend it? Yess!!!! I love this series, I love the stockcar racing background, the characters, the men are delicious, the women strong, and I love the wit, the dialogues. This part is about Suzanne, who is easy to relate to and Ryder, a typical, but yummy man. They have many Mars-Venus encounters. Hot Finish is easy and light to read, a real feel-good story so yes everyone who loves romance should read this series!

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

I am really looking forward to read J.K. Beck’s paranormal trilogy When Blood Calls, When Pleasure Rules and When Wicked Craves. But I have so many great books on my to-be-read pile, right now it is +1000 high, so way too many books to read and not enough time….

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

I am very eclectic when it comes to music; I have both classical music and hard rock on my iPod. Love music from the ‘80’s so it really just depends on my mood what is playing on my iPod. But right now I listen a lot to a Dutch band called Kane, love their song No Surrender.

What are your favorite places to visit online?

Bookstores! In the Netherlands we don't have the huge bookstores you have (I am so jealous!), and the local bookstores do not sell the genres I read (I quote “we only sell quality books, no romance”, I so hate it when they say that…) so I have to buy all my books online, I spend a lot of time visiting the Book Depository and Amazon.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show?

I love Italy, I love Italian men, so I also love Italian food. I hate coffee but I love tea and orange juice. Touch or take a bite of my chocolate and you will regret it; I am very possessive of my chocolate. My favorite dessert is tiramisu, but anything with strawberries and whipped cream will also do. I love “stroopwafels” (Dutch cookies) and ”kroketten” and no ketch-up on my French fries but mayonnaise! I love a good glass of wine, both red as white and I live on Coca Cola Light. My body contains 70% of diet coke instead of water by now I think... I have a weakness for bags, shoes and Marlies Dekkers lingerie and I love to watch Grey Anatomy, True Blood, Spartacus and a good movie when I have the time.

Which hottie out there is to die for?

Ehmmm, the right thing to say right now would be my beloved partner, but … I am a sucker for the dark hair and blue/green eyes type. I like them a bit older and for me there can be only one, (I can already picture the ROOB posse rolling their eyes, they know what is coming now), he is the one and only Beiron Andersson! I wish he had a single twin brother.

Favorite restaurant?

I do not go out that often anymore because of the kids so I don’t really have a favorite one; I love Rotterdam, that is my town. Rotterdam has many different restaurants that serve great food. As long as I don’t have to cook, get to hang out with my friends, have lots of laughter and a good glass of wine I am happy.

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

I think my idea of a romantic gesture is different than my partner’s idea of a romantic gesture lol…

He is not the flowers and chocolate type but every now and then he surprises me with something I really covet, like a new bag that had my name on it for a very long time or a weekend away without the kids.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I love history and have this penchant for old churches and cemeteries, whenever I am abroad and an old church or cemetery is nearby I have to visit it. I can spend hours in a place like that; old artifacts and history fascinate me. My partner fell asleep once on a garden bench while visiting an old castle, according to him I looked at every old stone with a magnifying glass, I just love to learn the stories of the people who lived there once.

Witte Huis

Well, I had fun answering these questions, so thank you for having me as your guest Tracy!

Marissa, thank YOU for being here! I loved getting to know you and I find other countries fascinating. And I definitely want to find out more about this Beiron Andersson ;)

My name is Losa. I have a Samoan background. Born in New Zealand, I've lived most of my life in Australia & this is where I call home now. I love it here! I come from a family of 6. I work with my sister as a Cook/Kitchen Hand/Waitress at a Retirement Village for the elderly. I've always had a passion for working in the kitchen & working with the elderly. So to combine the two & to work with my sister is a dream job for me. My interests include reading, writing, eating, cooking, movies, going out to dinner, shopping, travelling, Twitter, but most of all, hanging out with my family & friends :-)

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I am currently reading "Taste of passion" by Brenda Jackson. Its a hot love story about a woman, brokenhearted from a previous relationship who has moved back to her hometown, get her life back on track by creating her own business & start up a hot & passionate love affair with a sexy cowboy she somewhat had feelings for years ago, and to rediscover just what they've been missing out on. (They have alot of catching up to do! *wink*) So if you love hot sexy cowboys like me I highly recommend it! I have also just started reading "Something naughty something nice" by Kimberly Raye. And with a title like that it's definitely a hot & sexy read! *wink*

Food: I love eating & Im open to try all kinds of foods! I especially love my sisters cooking. Shes an amazing cook & can create a miracle out of food!

I also love pizza & chocolate. Definitely another addiction for me!

Being true to my Samoan roots, I love Samoan food like taro, green bananas & yams in coconut cream, coconut buns, corned beef, chop suey, etc. It all takes me back to the islands!

Tv show: I absolutely love "The Office!" Michael Scott & the gang always crack me up! Sometimes I pop this on when I need cheering up & need a good laugh! I also love watching "Tabitha's Salon Takeover" & "Pineapple Dance Studios". Very entertaining stuff!

Last good movie I saw: The last good movie I saw was Toy Story 3. Im a kid at heart & this movie was amazing! There were some emotional parts in the film where it tugged at my heart & I found myself in tears. It was a very happy & heartwarming movie. I highly recommend it!

Which hottie out there is to die for?

There are definitely alot of hotties out there. I've always had a thing for 2pac. I adore him. Also Reggie Bush. His abs & smile take my breath away..lol - But you can't say hotties without mentioning of course, my ultimate favourite bbf's: Asheron, Vishous, Zsadist, Zack & Mace. All hotties in my opinion!

Favourite restaurant?

I don't have a favourite restaurant as I love going out to different places & trying different foods with my sister, brother & niece. But of course, nothing beats a home cooked meal to enjoy with your family at home.

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

Well unfortunately I don't have a sweetie to share any romantic gestures with, however if I did, cooking me a nice, quiet romantic dinner would be heaven! But for me, my idea of a romantic gesture to my sweetie, I would love to bake some home baked goodies, visit him & surprise him like Little Red Riding Hood! Sweet surprises are always best! *wink*

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

About me, people would be surprised to learn that although I can be shy & quiet at times, if you get to know me I can be the biggest idiot ever..lol - I love to laugh & enjoy making people laugh & smile. I have an open mind & open heart to everyone & everything. I believe that everyone should be given a chance. We all have our own opinions. We're all unique & special in our own way. Thats what makes us want to get to know each other! Let's share the love people! *big beautiful hugs*

Thank you once again Stacy for having me! Its been an absolute blast & I've enjoyed every minute of it! *big hugs*

I don't know about you, but I know want to hop on a plane and Australia even more than ever. And right now I have such a taste for Samoan food....

Thank you Losa, for visiting today and sharing your interesting corner of the world. It was a treat having you here :) I'm glad I was able to "share" you with everyone that visits. Have a great weekend!

Guest spotlight: Mar
Today is all about Mar here at my place. Mar is a newer friend, and we probably haven't chatted as much as some of the other people over on Twitter, but I think she's a doll, and wanted to have her visit with y'all so you could see for yourself. She posts cute pics of her kids and her new little furbaby, and I am a sucker for kids and puppies, so right then and there she won me over. And I'm really excited today to get to know a bit more about this one hot chica :D

Stacy: Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

My name is Mariselle but you know me as Mar. Most people butcher my name, so I just cut it down to save them from their minds exploding into hot lava. I also have a nickname that my baby sister gave me, I’m known to my family as Lulu. I was born in Puerto Rico but moved to Florida at the age of 8 and I’ve been here ever since. My husband is a firefighter and we will be married ten years this coming October. By the ridiculous amounts of photos I post on Twitter, you already know I’m a Mama to a boy (Big Lu), a girl (Oli) and also two doggies, Daisy and Matilda. I work for a software company (think Office Space) that keeps me enslaved in a cube for 40 hours a week, where I Twitter my ass off to keep my sanity. :) I am very productive. Unlike most of the girls you’ve had on here, I am not a blogger unless you count blog-stalking as an activity. I am however a reader, which is how you and I connected. I love LOOOOVE to read paranormal, erotic and contemporary romance.

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

N/A

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I just finished Sin Undone by Larissa Ione. Do I recommend it would probably be the understatement of the year. This was by far, one of her hottest books yet and I am in complete love with Con. If you have not read the Demonica series, seriously you are crazy.

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

This one cannot come soon enough, the next book in the BDB series, Lover Unleashed. Love me some Brothers, true? [True that!]

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

Will I be stoned if I say I don’t own an iPod?

What are your favorite places to visit online?

Twitter (NO WAY GET OUT, REALLY?)

Amazon.com, Facebook because if I don’t post photos of my kids, my family will revolt, DSW (Shoooes!), IMDB, Tumblr #smutclub, Rain Roof (thanks KC!), Perez Hilton, Dooce and many, many book blogs of course. Goodreads because it’s a great place to keep up with what everyone is reading and what they thought on a book.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show?

Beer. I love beer, I’m not gonna lie. And wine. And diet coke. And COFFEE! I’ve been drinking coffee since I was a little kid and to take that away from me would cause severe withdrawals, so no thanks I’m keeping my caffeine, thank you very much. My favorite food? Where do I even start with that since I eat everything….except mushrooms, yuckkk! But give me Spanish food, I don’t care if it’s Puerto Rican, Cuban, Mexican, it is all good. I also love Italian food…carbs anyone? Favorite TV show…right now, it will have to be Trueblood. I also like CSI Vegas, Law Order SVU, Cougar Town, Modern Family and Biggest Loser.

Which hottie out there is to die for?
I have always had a thing for this man, Oded Fher but really can you blame me? Just look at his lips, I think I can tuck myself in at night with the bottom one alone. To say that I love him would be like asking if the ocean is blue. Sigh. Also like everyone else, I adore Joe Manganiello but have you ever taken a good look at Theo Alexander (Talbot)…? Behold the beauty that is him. *sigh*

Favorite restaurant?
Olive Garden, breadsticks! Bahama Breeze, Tostones con Pollo! Hooters…I don’t give a s*** if there are girls with their booties hanging out, those wings are da’bomb!

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

Sometimes when I’m super busy and have no time to go get a pedi, my husband offers to do it for me and who am’ I to refuse. It actually started back when I was pregs with my Son and I could hardly see my feet that he offered and ever since then, it’s just been a thang. It’s rather cute seeing a big macho-man concentrating on holding a bottle of OPI That’s Hot! Pink, while polishing your toes.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Now, I know this is hard to believe but I’m rather quiet at first when you meet me but then if you stick around, it’s all downhill from there. Be warned. When I was 19 I volunteered as the mascot for one of our local hospitals, where I had to dress up in this HUGE teddy bear costume and visit the pediatric floor. The kids loved it and seeing their expressions when I came through their rooms was very satisfying and sometimes a little bit sad but so worth sweating my butt off in that giant bear costume. Although I make up crazy words around my kids to prevent repetition, according to my husband I curse worse than the guys at his fire station. I am a big sap meaning I cry for anything, tv shows, movies, commercials, magazine articles, books…I can keep going but by this time you are probably calling me a big wuss so I will stop. And lastly, I love to dance and be silly with my kids because in their eyes, I am the coolest person in the entire universe. And that’s really all I give a s, I mean care about it.

Well I don't know about all of you, but I feel cooler for just reading that and seeing what an awesome person Mar is. Adore your hubs gives you pedis. Lucky woman! Thanx for being here today, Mar. And I hope y'all have a fabulous weekend. I intend to :)

Guest Spotlight: Colette

My special guest today - Colette - is also someone I met on Twitter, and she is one of the ones responsible for my new infatuation with this guy named Terrible (THANK YOU!) and she helped start up a support group on Good Reads for those of us who can claim "I Gots Terrible Fever". We also share a love of Supernatural and Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series. Now here's more about Colette :)

Stacy: Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

My name’s Colette. Everyone thinks I was named after the writer, but I was actually named after a girl in my mom’s swim class back when she was a lifeguard! I’ve lived everywhere from Morocco to Arizona, but moved back to Ohio 5 years ago. I currently work at a supermarket as a receiving manager. I check in all the bread, pop, chip, and beer drivers. I’m also the webmaster, wine guru, and pricing coordinator-if something doesn’t ring up right when you check out at the register, that would be my fault.

I’m a blogger-I started my book blog after my personal blog started filling up with book reviews. I used to write a lot, but stopped for some reason, and have been seriously thinking about writing again.

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

I do have a blog. The name is A Buckeye Girl Reads. It was originally named lovesromances-because I well, love to read romances. I changed it to A Buckeye Girl Reads because ever since I joined my first online forum I’ve been buckeyegirl, and thought I should stick to that. My blog has a little bit of every genre on it. It’s now mainly Urban Fantasy, with little bit of Paranormal Romance, historical romances, Erotica and YA thrown in. I don’t believe in limiting myself to one genre-it gets boring! h a

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I’m currently reading As You Wish, a YA book by Jackson Pearce. Before that I was reading City of Ghosts by Stacia Kane. I would totally recommend it to fans of Urban Fantasy. Her Downside Ghosts Series is why I love blogging. If you had told me a year ago I’d like a book like the ones in this series, I would have said: “no way!”

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

There are so many! I’m looking forward to: Sin Undone by Larissa Ione, (August 24) Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (August 24) Double Cross by Carolyn Crane, (Sept.28) Venom by Jennifer Estep, (October 2010) Alien Tango by Gini Koch (December 2010), My Fair Succubi by Jill Myles (December 2010) and of course like everyone else, I’m counting down the days till ShadowFever by Karen Marie Moning!

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

*whispers* I don’t have an iPod. Does that make me old? I thought so. I used to keep all my music on my Chocolate phone, but recently got a new one and lost everything I had. I’m currently into the Glee soundtrack.

What are your favorite places to visit online?

I love to visit Survivorblows.com It started out as a Survivor bashing site, but is now a fansite. I mainly lurk over there now, but love all the different theories that people come up with on who will win the game. I also spend a lot of time on Xanga. It’s where I first started blogging and it has a soft spot in my heart because of it. I also haunt Goodreads, Facebook and Twitter more then I should.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show?

Beverage is Coca Cola. I’m totally addicted to it. I drink an insane amount of it and am surprised my teeth aren’t brown.
Favorite Food: Pizza with Extra Cheese, Pepperoni and Onions
TV Show: Torchwood, hands down! I also love Being Human, (another British show) Glee, and have re-discovered Burn Notice and Supernatural.

Which hottie out there is to die for?

This is going to show my age, but I’ve always just adored Matt Damon. There’s just something about his smile that gets me every time!

I also adore Aidan Turner from the British Show Being Human. (It’s about a ghost, werewolf and vampire trying to co-exist with each other and humans. It’s great!)

A third hottie is James Scott who plays EJ on Days of Our Lives. There’s something about his accent that I just love. I’m totally on team EJAMI (That’s those of us who want Sami (Allison Sweeney) to be together with EJ, and not Rafe.)

Favorite restaurant?

Frickers-a local bar that has the best wings I’ve ever had.

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

I don’t have a sweetie right now…but I would have to say something simple-like cooking me dinner would do.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I blink in almost every single picture that I take. There is something about the blinding flash of light that bothers me. It’s why I don’t have any pictures of me up on my blog, because my eyes are always closed in the pictures that I take!

Thanx Colette! I was thrilled to have you here today :) It's nice be able to introduce new friends and talk about some of our favorite things, isn't it?

Guest spotlight: Kati

I am lucky enough to have know Kati for years. We first met at a blog called Romance B(u)y the Book and have since kept in touch. We tend to (mostly) love the same books, moies and hotties, and I've met up with Kati many, many times oer the last 4 years. She is definitely one of my most favorite people ever. And if you don't already know Kati, now here's your chance :)

Stacy: Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

My name is Kati, and I’m a long, long time reader of romance. My first was Nora Roberts’ Irish Thoroughbred in 1983, which I read when I was 12. And I never looked back. I grew up mostly in the Washington, DC area, where I still reside. I work for NASA planning events that surround vehicle launches for the Office of Education. I’ve been a meeting planner about 12 years, which speaks to my personality, I’m both bossy and hyper-organized. K

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

My blog is called Katidom. I started it in 2007 because my sister, Sara, has a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, which is a constriction of her vocal chords. For about two years she never spoke above a whisper, which meant no talking on the phone. So she and I both started blogs as a way to keep up. My blog is mostly about the romance I read, although I blog quite a bit about pop culture (I’m a total junkie), and I do fashion round-ups after all the awards shows, which seem to be quite popular.

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I’m reading Sherry Thomas’s His at Night. It’s interesting, I read her first, Private Arrangements and I absolutely LOATHED it. I couldn’t stand the hero or the heroine and I can honestly say I was not invested at all in their Happily Ever After. But last year, the fabulous Kmont of Lurv a la Mode reviewed Not Quite A Husband, which convinced me I should give Thomas another shot. Not Quite a Husband was in my Top 10 favorite romances of last year. So His at Night was an autobuy for me. I’m absolutely adoring it, although it’s much less angsty and dramatic than NQAH. This book is light and delicious, like a pastry. Thomas has such a mastery of the written word. Her prose is deft and compelling, and her characterizations are brilliant. I’d recommend His at Night to anyone.

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

Hm. This is a hard question. Probably the next Guild Hunter book by Nalini Singh. Singh has catapulted to the very top of my favorite authors list. Although, running a very close second would be Lisa Kleypas’s next contemporary. I don’t know why, but Lisa’s contemporary novels speak deeply to me. And each and every one of them is a re-read for me.

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

The Zac Brown Band, both The Foundation and Pass the Jar. Zac Brown is summertime music to me. I defy you to listen to Toes and not immediately wish you were at the beach. But then again, listen to Highway 21, or Free and not walk away emotional. I love this band desperately.

What are your favorite places to visit online?
Hm, well, I have over 250 blogs in my Google Reader. My first three stops in the morning are People.com, USA Today’s Life Page, and the Pop Watch blog on Entertainment Weekly’s website (see? Pop Culture junkie). For Reading? The Book Smugglers, Katiebabs, Smart Bitches, Smokin’ Hot Books and Smexy Books are my favorites. For Romance Authors: LB Gregg, Nalini Singh, Larissa Ione, and Odd Shots.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show?

Let’s see:

Beverage (non-alcoholic): Diet Dr. Pepper/Diet Dew
Beverage (alcoholic): Maker’s Mark & Diet Dr. Pepper
Food: I’m a huge carnivore, I like a ribeye cooked medium and grilled shrimp
TV Show: I think that Friday Night Lights is the smartest show on television and I’m obsessed. It combines two of my favorite things: Football and Taylor Kitsch.

Which hottie out there is to die for?

Taylor Kitsch. I have deep, cougarish, lusty thoughts about Taylor Kitsch. He played town bad-boy Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights, and for those who saw X-Men: Wolverine, he was Gambit.

Favorite restaurant?
Fast Food: Chik-fil-A

Regular: A steakhouse, I’m not particularly picky about which.

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

My man is an amazing chef. He makes the most delicious meals. When I go to visit him on the weekends, he calls me on Thursday night to find out what I want to eat all weekend, and then he cooks every meal. It’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Well, it’s not a shock to those who read my blog, but I am a die-hard professional football fan. I live and die by the Washington Redskins. I can name every player on the roster and am obsessed enough that I can actually diagram the Cover 2 defense. On the other hand, I am a remarkably girly-girl. My phone is pink, my computer is pink, and I’m a total priss. But I loves me some football.

Thank you Kati my darlin' for being here! Always, ALWAYS a pleasure to chat with you and catch up on what's what. I hope you have a fabulous weekend :)

Here's my Taylor because, well, why not? ;)

Guest spotlight: Natasha
Twitter, you've really introduced me to a lot of interesting and fun people, and for that I'm grateful. Natasha here is another one that I met through you, and that makes me happy :) I feel that there's so many good friends I met because of you. Here's another one now. Come get to know the lovely Natasha from Canada. I'm so happy to have her here today :)

Stacy: Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

My name is Natasha A. You may have seen me around the interwebs. I'm a full time library clerk, part time library tech student, wife, mom to two fur babies, crafter, baker, and candlestick maker. I consider myself a newbie blogger, even though I have been blogging for years.

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

The blog I am currently working on started up in January and has been a work in progress since. I think I am just now finding my balance and really starting to enjoy myself. There I talk about the crafts that I attempt to do, the cooking I try to kill my husband with, and most importantly? The books that I devour!!! Oh, and I occasionally do a montage of my fur babies (my two kitties – Dot my girl and Dash my boy). My Disorganized Ramblings

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I've just picked up Nicole Peeler's Tempest Rising. I absolutely love it and I can't wait to get to #2 - Tracking the Tempest.

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

Oh boy. Is this where I confess that I don't keep track of that? I don't keep a TBB list. I use other bloggers and twitter to remind me of books coming out that I need to get. Ok, ok, if I had to pick one? I've already pre-ordered Maya Banks' The Darkest Hour.

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

Oh goodness. You are destroying me here. I love music, but I don't listen to it very often. The Mr. and I are TV/Movie junkies. We have so many shows that we watch and movies we love. Normally, we have something playing in the background while we do other things. Some of my favourite shows: Burn Notice, The Glades, Dr. Who, Torchwood, Leverage, Fringe, and many more!

What are your favorite places to visit online?

Another hard one! I have over 450 blogs in my Google Reader. And you want me to pick a couple? *sigh* Ok, I'll do a mix, some are book blogs and some are just some really neat things I have picked up.Parajunkee - She's been doing some really awesome blog posts about Book Blogging 101Book Binge - One of the very first book bloggers I started following.Ikea Hacker - People send in pictures and tutorials of stuff they have made out of items from Ikea. The Pioneer Woman - She lives on a ranch, home schools her kids, puts together amazing recipes, and teaches you how to do amazing things with a camera.Craftzine - Amazing craft ideas - sewing, paper, and so much more.

What are some of your favorite things:

Beverage – Nestea Ice Tea
Food – everything! I love food. Pasta, chocolate, cupcakes, beef, bacon!
T.V. show – I am completely infatuated with Top Gear lately.
Favorite restaurant – Jack Astor’s, I love their Beer and Cheddar soup!

Which hottie out there is to die for?

I’m a Colin fan….

The last good movie you saw?

INCEPTION! Please go see this movie! OMG MAZING! HA! LOL A little self promo, I actually JUST wrote a review for it.

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

Well, my sweetie has sent me flowers to work. He's made me dinner. He cleans the bathroom. He helps with the laundry. Yeah, The Mr. is pretty special.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Err. Damn, I am boring. [Side note, I've been working on this one question for 30minutes. THIRTY. See, I am boring] How about I've had something(s) pierced that not many people would consider doing?

[Um, that's FAR from boring!]

Natasha, thank you for stopping by! I really loved getting to know you better. I plan to go see Inception this week. And I absolutely adored Colin in S.W.A.T. (In fact, I need to buy that movie!) It's nice to share that with you :)

Guest spotlight: Sarah

Sarah is also someone I met on Twitter, and since then, she's become one of of those people whose opinion I really respect because she always has valid and intelligent opinions, and tends not to follow the crowd. Plus she's also fun and interesting, and I'm excited to show her off to all of you. Now's your chance to get to know Sarah :)

Stacy: Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

I’m all of the above. I’ve been writing for years, mostly romance and mystery, with a brief foray into “serious literature”. However, I only decided to pursue publication in the last year or so.

I originally set up my blog to help me curb my tendency to over edit. I knew I’d never blog regularly if I polished my posts as much as I did my writing. My rule is that I have thirty minutes to write a blog post, and a maximum of an hour for a review. It’s definitely helped me to let go of some of the perfectionism in my fiction writing and learn to complete a first draft before making major revisions.

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

I have a blog called Monkey Bear Reviews . I used to stick to blogging about books exclusively, but I found I was getting bored and my desire to blog was waning. Now I pretty much blog about whatever is in my head at the time, which usually centres around what I’m reading or would like to read, writing, and my family.

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I’m currently reading the third book in P.B. Ryan’s Gilded Age mystery series which she recently released digitally on Smashwords. So far, I’m really enjoying it.

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?
My most anticipated book of 2010 is probably ‘Heartstone’ by C.J. Sansom. It’s the fifth book in his Tudor mystery series. In the romance genre, it’s ‘Hot Finish’ by Erin McCarthy. I’ve been looking forward to Suzanne & Ryder’s book since I read ‘Flat-Out Sexy’.

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

A band called Within Temptation. They’re a Dutch gothic metal band.

What are your favorite places to visit online?

Several romance blogs, including yours. [Smoochies!] One non-romance site I visit regularly is Board Game Geek (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/), which allows me to indulge my passion for board games.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show? book genre? restaurant?

I like wine. I also like cocktails when I’m out. I don’t have a favourite food as it depends on my mood. T.V. show…I don’t watch much T.V. anymore, but I quite like ‘Sons of Anarchy’. My favourite book genres are romance and crime fiction.

Which hottie out there is to die for?

The British actor, Idris Elba. He played Stringer Bell in ‘The Wire’, among other roles.

What are some of your favorite tropes in romance? Some of your pet peeves?

I’m a sucker for marriage-in-trouble romances, but only in historicals; I like contemporaries set in small towns, especially when they revolve around a heroine who has returned to her roots and is reunited with a man from her past; historical romances which are not set in Georgian/Regency/Victorian England; heroines with questionable morals.

I dislike secret babies and spy plots, but I will roll with them if the book is written by an author I trust. With the notable exception of Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series and Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson, I am not a fan of books featuring fur and fangs.

What is unique about where you live?

I live in Switzerland, land of nice chocolate and coffee.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Given that I read and write romance, it might surprise some people that I am not particularly romantic in real life. I can’t stand cheesy chat up lines, romantic films, bouquets of flowers, Valentine’s Day, sappy cards, etc. Give me a book voucher, though, and I’m charmed.

Stacy, thanks so much for having me!

Anytime, Sarah. It's always great chatting with you, and when you're published, I hope you'll be a guest blogger here at my place :)

Guest spotlight: Marq

I haven't known Marq for very long, but I really like her strong personality and her definite opinions. She is someone I met on Twitter, and now that I've finally got her Twitter handle all figured out *g*, I'm enjoying following her tweets. I also like her blog, and the bright, brilliant color. To me, that represents how she is - bold and colorful. And now here's your chance to get to know her yourself :)

Stacy: Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

My name is Marquetta. I go by Marq (sounds like Mark) online to make my life easier. LOL! It’s not easy having a name that has “Q” in it. People don’t know what to do with it! I’m an underpaid, over-worked WOTHM (Work Outside The Home Mom). I envy women who stay at home. I feel like being out in the work force is over-rated! I’m married and have an 11 yr old son. My husband has his own business so I’m basically a single parent right now which increases my already high stress level. But thanks to my bloggy friends and twitter, I manage to keep myself a little sane. I am a blogger and I love it. I consider that my 3rd job. LOL!

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

The name of my blog is Love To Read For Fun. I wanted to think of a title that reflected my love of reading. I’m not sure if I like the title but I’m going to stick with it for now. It has worked well for 8 months and no one has complained! My blog is a reflection of what I like to read which is mainly romance. I sometimes blog about things that interest me, like TV shows. A couple of months ago I wrote a post about my top 5 favorite Buffy episodes. I loved writing that post and hope to write similar posts in the future.

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

I just finished reading Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas. It’s an erotic, BDSM novel with a spin. I would definitely recommend it. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

I am definitely on pins and needles waiting for Shadowfever, the final book in the Fever series by Karen Moning. The book isn’t coming out until January 18, 2011 but I’m already making plans to take that day off! I’m also looking forward to Sin Undone by Larissa Ione and Taken by Midnight by Lara Adrian.

What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

The Glee Music soundtrack. I absolutely love that show! Every episode had great music. Whenever I listen to it, it puts me in a great mood. And considering how hectic life has been this summer, I have all 5 albums on heavy rotation.

What are your favorite places to visit online?

I love twitter (does that count?) and I love Amazon.com so that I can constantly tempt myself with book buying. And as much of a douche as he is, I visit Perez Hilton’s website daily.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show?

My favorite beverage – I don’t really have one. I don’t drink sodas. I’ve had to cut back on my alcohol consumption because it’s now yet another thing that triggers my migraines. Right now I’m all about drinking water and having the occasional beer – Land Shark. As for food, I’m from Memphis and we are known for our BBQ so for me, anything cooked on the grill with barbecue sauce is my favorite food! I haven’t been watching as much TV as I have in the past. I’ve become very selective with what TV shows I decide to devote my time to. My favorites are Glee, True Blood and Modern Family. And my super, secret guilty pleasure is The Real Housewives shows on Bravo. They are hilarious and complete train wrecks!

Which hottie out there is to die for?

I make no secret of who I am lusting after. I think all my twitter friends are aware that I have a major boner for Mehcad Brooks. When I saw him on True Blood last season I fell in love. He’s had a long acting career and I remember seeing him in movies and other shows. But I didn’t really notice him until True Blood. Maybe because he was shirtless a lot. R.I.P. Eggs. :(

I also love Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schuester) from Glee. He’s doesn’t have the smoking hot sexiness of Mehcad but there’s something about him that I find incredibly sexy.

Favorite restaurant?

I love sushi so my favorite restaurant is Asian Bistro. I could eat there a couple of times a week. If it was closer to my house and I was rich, I probably would eat there several times a week!

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

I’m materialistic. LOL! I doubt many women would readily admit it. But there’s no shame in my game. I’m also a techno geek so for me a romantic gesture would be getting me the latest electronic gadget *cough* iPad *cough*.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Even though it may not seem like it on twitter but I’m very closed off. I am not a friendly person when you first meet me. I don’t open up to people easily. I think it comes from moving a lot when I was little (military brat). People mistake it for shyness but what I’m really doing is checking you out, trying to decide if getting to know you is worth the effort.

Well, there you have it! *g* Thank you Marq, for being my guest today. It's been great fun, and I love how you have definite opinions and don't have a problem sharing them. Definitely makes things more interesting :)

Guest spotlight: Rowena
I've known the tres cool Rowena for many years, since probably a little before I first started blogging, in '05 or '06. I adore this girl for her incredible enthusiasm, her mutual love of Sam Starrett (sigh...), for introducing me to the wonder that is Julie James, and her amusing way with words - when she really loves something, it rocks her socks. I'm glad to have this chance to introduce her to all of you now. She's awesome :)

Stacy: Feel free to tell us about yourself: name, background, etc. Are you a reader/blogger/writer?

‘Ello! My name is Rowena and I’m an avid reader from Southern California . I’m an Administrative Assistant and a single Mom. I spend a lot of my time either reading or blogging and attending my daughter’s basketball games. I’m a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers (woo hoo, National Champs again!) and I love short walks on the beach and frolicking in the meadows. LOL, just kidding (not really). I’m a reader and a blogger and I love it.

Do you have a blog? What is the name/link and how would you describe your blog?

For my romance novel loving friends, you can find me blogging at Book Binge.

For my YA fiction loving friends, you can find me blogging over at
The Book Scoop.

My personal blog is over at
Everyday Wena.

Yeah, I know that I have a lot of time on my hands…what?

What book(s) are you currently reading? Would you recommend it?

Right now, I’m finishing up The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Finding Perfect by Susan Mallery. Both books are frickin’ great!

What is your most anticipated soon to be released book?

I think it’s got to be Misguided Angel by Melissa De La Cruz and the next Julie James book. I’m an avid fan of Julie James and I’m totally anxious for her next book. Julie, if you’re reading this, WRITE FASTER! =P [I AGREE!]
What's playing nonstop on your iPod rotation right now?

I’m listening to a lot of Glee songs right now. Rachel and Shelby’s version of Pokerface by Lady Gaga is the most listened to song on my computer right now. Yeah, I can sing all the oohs and the ahhs right along with them, I’ve listened to it so much. Finn and Rachel’s version of Faithfully by Journey is the bomb and I like to belt it out along with them while I’m driving home on the freeway from work.

What are your favorite places to visit online?

Hmm, this is hard because I’m always online doing different things.

In no particular order, you could find me on the following sites numerous times throughout the day.

-Netflix- I just finished watching Seasons 1 & 2 of Dexter and I watched those Instantly on my laptop and on my TV. That show is so addicting. It disturbs me with how much I adore Dexter though.

-Google Reader- This is the best way for me to catch up with all of my favorite blogs and I’m on it multiple times throughout the day.

-Twitter- You’ll find me on Twitter more often then I should be. I just can’t help myself.

-Good Reads- This isn’t blocked for me at work so I take full advantage of that. There’s something about seeing my entire library online…it never fails to bring a smile to my face.

-Blogger- It’s pretty sad how often I’m on Blogger. At work, at home, I’m always writing up posts. It’s a sickness.

What are some of your favorite things: beverage? food? t.v. show?

My favorite beverage is: Snapple Peach Tea. I’m cranky if I don’t have this at least three times a week. So good.

My favorite food? I like all kinds of food but my favorite right now is my friend Foti’s Pulled Pork Sandwiches. He made them for dinner the other day and my mouth is still watering from how outrageously good it was. He made his BBQ sauce from scratch too and it made the entire sandwich so much better. I loved it so much that I went back the next day and had more for lunch, haha.

My favorite TV Show? I watch a lot of TV and my favorites are: Glee, Fringe, Vampire Diaries, Drop Dead Diva, The Unit (even though it’s no more, *sigh*), Friday Night Lights, Life Unexpected, Cougartown, White Collars and right now, Dexter. Hmm, that’s a lot of favorites but I can’t choose just one. I love them all.

Which hottie out there is to die for?

I’m still on a World Cup high and so my favorite hotties are:

Benny Feilhaber

[Dirty & sweaty - I like ;) ]

Carlos Bocanegra

David Beckham

It’s all about the soccer hotties for me.

Favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant is Ra, it’s a sushi place here in Torrance, CA. They have such good sushi over there and I absolutely love it!

What is your idea of a romantic gesture from your sweetie?

I’m single so I’m not sure how to answer this but I’m going to try. I’m not a big fan of big romantic gestures but the little things will always get me. Remembering a book that I wanted to read and getting that for me, reading my blog and finding out that I want my own edible arrangements and getting me one. Those kinds of things make me oh so appreciative.

What would people be surprised to learn about you? Anything you'd like to add?

People are surprised when they find out that I listen to and enjoy country music. I guess I don’t look the type but I do like country music…very much. They’re also surprised when I tell them that I’m Mormon. That’s not good but *sigh* it’s the truth.

Thanks so much for having me on your blog sweetie, this was such a treat!

Smoochies, Rowena! LOVED having you here, and I think it's cool that you love country music - I do too :) And anyone who has a strong faith has my admiration. It's good to believe in something that matters deeply to you. It gives us something to build on. Thank you, Ro, for being here :)
