A thank you, a cause, a piss off, and other goings on around here
Well, can I just say I'm a little mortfied by all the sombre introspection I've been doing the last few days. I'm usually not so honest about personal stuff, but I've been more tired than lately. I do want to give a huge shout-out to the lovely people who've stopped by and commented. I appreciate your comments and it's nice to have some company LOL. Big hug to Karen from http://www.karenknowsbest.com/ who mentioned me on her awesome blog. I really hope I'm sending out a positive message about self-esteem. We all have our bad days but dammit, we are freakin' awesome!

Today I'm back on track and living in the land of the superficial. I think the vitamins are helping *g* So to watch away my slight embarrassment at the attention, I'm going to talk about what's going on out there.

First off, it's Brenda Novak's annual Diabetes auction. It's May again, so Brenda's got her auction going on in full force. I love that this happens every year. I have yet to win anything, but that doesn't mean I don't try :) It's all for a good cause.

Then we have David Boreanaz cheating on his wife. I'm not going to spend a lot of time talking about this, and it's rather sad that this didn't surprise me in the slightest. I find these celebrities to be complete morons for not thinking they were going to get caught, and no, I don't give him ANY credit for telling his wife before announcing it to the world. He knew it was gonna blow up in his face and he was just trying to prevent a fall-out "ala Jesse James". I think after awhile with all the women that throw themselves at these celebrities they have a certain sense of entitlement and take it as one of the "benefits" of living in the public eye. Not. Buying. It. I feel bad for his wife and kids. He can go piss off.

Big shout-out to my gal Bells for talking up JA Saare. Later this month I'll be posting an interview with JA and having a contest for a copy of "Dead, Undead or Somewhere In Between". I'll tell ya right now you're gonna love Rhiannon. She rocks it, and Disco is pretty damn fine as well ;)

I'm participating in the Chloe Neill blog tour, so mark your calendars for June 29th, for fun, surprises, and giveaways :) Chloe will be doing an interview with me, so I've gotta get crackin' on those questions.

And now for my latest guilty pleasure: viewing sensual pics that have been Tweeted on Twitter. Some of them are pretty raunchy and explicit, but the subtle, sexy, provocative, ones are my favorites. Here is an example of what I've been enjoying. I think they are a lovely visual of the sexy books I read, and okay, they're hot. I don't mind admitting that. I must sound like such a voyeur. Okay I am. But I also like seeing beautiful, enticing imagery. So sue me ;)

What's going on in YOUR world?

  1. I'm so happy you are enjoying Dead, Undead. It is such a wonderful, unforgettable book. Can't wait to read the interview with the wonderful Ms. Jaime!

I agree with you on the pricks in Hollywood. Ugh!

Thanks about talking about vitamins because I really need to start taking mine daily.

  2. Glad you're feeling better, Stacy!

I'm so sick of people who think it's okay to cheat.

Love that photo! I think the male might be Charles Paz. Have you seen his facebook photo albums? Some gorgeous, sensual photographs there.

  3. (((Stacy))) I love how open and honest you've been. It is hard sometimes, to be so vulnerable, but it always surprises me to realize that I'm usually not the only person thinking what I'm thinking :)

And as for guilty pleasures...I've been reading m/m romance for almost a year, and I've met some amazing people online who also read m/m. They have introduced me to the 'cookie' (photos of the male gender [some provactive, some not so much])....and I will now freely admit that I'm a cookie monster (not the Cookie Monster obviously :)

  4. *big squeezy hug* Hey honey! introspection is good every once in a while. Kinda like a colonic, it cleans ya out. Not fun but good for the soul.

Celebrities need to NOT get career boosts from cheating! It always works to their ADVANTAGE and that's just so wrong!

Those pics are HOT! DM me a link next time girl!

    Kisses, Hugs and Spanx,
    Luci

  5. No need to be mortified, Stacy. I've also been more personal on my blog than I usually am, but I guess that's just where are heads are at the moment. You keep it real and I appreciate that.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling more positive these days.

  6. I hear such good things about Dead undead i MUST get it!!

David David, what a tosser you are! i hearted him so much, and i always thought he'd be one male celeb who wouldn't let his dick control him, stupid boy, ive no sympathy for him, his wife and kids yes, but not him or the harlots who make it their "job" to bed as many celebs as they can, get a real day job i say! s
