I'm sure those of you in blogland have heard about Unleash Your Story, a Write-and-Read-athon to help out the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I've joined forces with some of my favorite people in the world, the Bellas, including Kati and Michelle Buonfiglio and we've got a team going to benefit this important cause.
How can you help? Well if you're a reader, you can commit to reading so many books or pages for the month of September, and if you're a writer, set a goal of so many words written this month

So, please help us help the nearly 30,000 kids and adults in the U.S. who have Cystic Fibrosis, an inherited chronic disease that causes the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that:-clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and-obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.
I'm not quite the voracious reader that Kati is, but I'm going to try to read about 2500 words or eight books this month. I probably have already hit 372, and counting. I've been in a bit of a reading slump, but I'm going to do my best to reach my goal.
