I know that just about everyone and their best friend has read this book by now, but for those rare few who haven't gotten their copy of Julie James' "Practice Makes Perfect", I'm giving you an opportunity to win this book so you can read what all the fuss is about. Julie writes fun, fast-paced, smart and sexy romances that keep you flipping the pages because you just can't wait to find out what happens next. They are the kind of stories that remind me why I love to read in the first place.
So, I'm giving everyone until oh, 3pm CST on Sunday, March 29th to tell me what book they are currently reading, because I'm curious to know. I'd also love to know what you think of it - recommend it or not. I look forward to reading your responses :)

I'm reading Angel's Blood by Nalini Singh...just seven chapters in...starting to get into it now. I've seen her books everywhere, but this is the first one I've picked up...I think I am really going to like it! :)
by Kristin 8:18 AM, March 27, 2009I'm reading a YA fantasy book, City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. It's the third and final book in her Mortal Instruments series. I really like this series and this book is proving to be the best in the series. I'd definitely recommend it.
by Mollie 8:21 AM, March 27, 2009Hey! :) I've just finished "Desire Unchained" by Larissa Ione and am getting ready to start "First Comes Marriage" by Mary Balogh. "Desire" was pretty good and I've heard good things about "First" so we'll see. :)
by The Brunette Librarian 8:23 AM, March 27, 2009Happy Weekend!
I am reading two books now - Heart of the Wolf by Terry Spear and Home Fires by Luanne Rice.
by Kara 8:27 AM, March 27, 2009I’m reading “Identity: Unknown” by Suzanne Brockmann right now. So far it’s been ok. There have been other books in her TDD series that I’ve loved better. I also just finished “Freefall” by JoAnn Ross and that one was pretty cute. I was a little confused in the beginning but then it all came together and had a really good ending.
by Unknown 10:40 AM, March 27, 2009I am just starting At Grave's En by Jeaniene Frost.
by Anonymous 12:33 PM, March 27, 2009I loved the first two....
*Proof read before hitting enter* That should say At Grave's End....lol
by Anonymous 12:34 PM, March 27, 2009I'm reading "Aussie Rules" by Jill Shalvis and am loving it!
by Susan 3:19 PM, March 27, 2009I just finished Danger in a Red Dress by Christine Dodd - definitely recommend it! Started Branded as Trouble by Lorelei James but haven't read much of it yet.
by Lisa F. 3:33 PM, March 27, 2009I'm reading Horizon (The Sharing Knife vol 4) by Lois McMaster Bujold. This is the final part of the series and I think I have found my all-time favorite books. I am just amazed with Bujold. I have cried and laughed while reading this series. When I got my hands on this last part and read the back blurb, I just had to weep a little, because it has been such a wonderful journey with these characters. Also my fiance knows their names, Dag and Fawn, because I just can't stop talking about them :)
by Anonymous 4:07 PM, March 27, 2009I just finished reading The Pagan Stone by Nora Roberts, which I really enjoyed. I am now reading The Gilded Web by Mary Balogh, a rerelease of one of her older books, which I am enjoying.
by Marg 5:43 PM, March 27, 2009I just started reading Too Good to be True by Kristan Higgins.
by Mariee 5:45 PM, March 27, 2009I'm reading TALLGRASS by Sandra Dallas. It's historical fiction about the Japanese Internment Camps during WW 2 & the effect they had on surrounding neighbors as well as the Japanese themselves. Dark subject matter and sad circumstances, but it's very well done, and I would recommend it.
by Karen W. 7:20 PM, March 27, 2009I would LOVE to read PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT next! ;-)
Oooh - I want, I want! It's STILL not out here!
by Kristie (J) 7:42 PM, March 27, 2009And the books I'm reading - I'm about half way done A Knight's Temptation by Catherine Kean but then I put it down somewhere and can't remember where. And I'm too tired to look for it because you should see all the books around the house. I'm out of control!! And I was really enjoying it too darn it all. But tomorrow - yes tomorrow on my day off I shall find it.
I tried reading Fools Rush in by Kristan Higgins but let's just say I'm having 'issues.' And the third one is Winterbourne by Susan Carroll. I found it the other day after looking for it for a while and with both Tracy and Jill's thoughts - I wanted to do a reread.
I just started reading SEP's "Heaven, Texas." I'm liking what I've read so far.
by Jane 8:27 PM, March 27, 2009I am currently reading Fade by Lisa McMann. When I finish I will probably read Nightwalker by Jocelyn Drake.
by Lori T 9:48 PM, March 27, 2009I hope that you have a great weekend.
Hi Stacy! What a lovely contest!
by Christine 7:26 AM, March 28, 2009I haven't read any of Julie James' books yet, and decided that I simply must after reading Tracy's recent review of this one! So I would love to win! Thanks for the opportunity!
I just started Taking Care of Business by Megan Hart and Lauren Dane. I'm liking it so far... but I'm only maybe 50 pages in so far.
Have a great weekend!
I'm just starting Anne Bishop's Daughter of the Blood. I've heard so much about this series and I think I'm going to like the book.
by Eva S 7:58 AM, March 28, 2009I've finally started to read Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. I'm starting the fourth one and they are lots of fun!
by tetewa 2:07 PM, March 28, 2009I'm reading King of the Murgos by David Eddings.
by Minna 2:51 PM, March 28, 2009Please don't include me in the contest Stacy as 1) I live thousands of miles away and 2) I still haven't read Julie James' first book *hangs head*
by orannia 11:20 PM, March 28, 2009As for what I'm currently reading, Salvation In Death (I'm guessing I don't need to mention the author :) It's good...
