I've been so bad about keeping up with BAFAB and I'm trying to make up for it now. Now I know this is kinda going against the rules to share who you're buying the book for but I've decided that I want to buy a book for {{{KristieJ}}} Kristie is one of my all-time favorite bloggers, and though I don't always post, I visit her blog constantly. She is a sweet, caring person with very definite ideas of what she likes and doesn't like. She's shared a lot of herself with her online friends, the bad along with the good, and I know right now she's going through a blogging crisis that has really affected her emotionally, and I want her to know how much she is loved and respected in blogland. Plus we share a mutual passion for Richard Armitage, so what's not to like?
As for the rest of you, I need help. So again, kinda going against the element of surprise here, not the sentiment is still the same. I'm going to select one winner to get a book of their choice. All you need to do is post about the name of the book you want no later than Sunday, October 4th, noon CST. This is fun for me too because then I can see what everyone's reading, or wants to read. So, go forth and post.
Oh, and if you tell a friend and they mention your name in their post as to how they found out about the contest, you'll get an extra entry added to the drawing. Let's pass it forward :)
Good luck!

Buy a Friend a Book
Photobucket

I believe this website has been around for awhile; I vaguely remember reading about it at other websites and blogs, but this year I am going to do something about it. So I thought this would be the perfect way to start the new year, sort of like a "pay it forward" gesture, specifically involving books. It's a 4-times-a-year event, happening on the first week of January, April, July and October. I've already decided who I'm going to give a book to, though I haven't decided on which book quite yet. What a cool idea, and I'm just going to have fun with it.

I'm curious: has anyone else done this? If not, is it something you would consider doing? Then spread the word!
