Nalini Singh pulls away another dark layer of sheer desire, revealing passions unknown, in her latest novel about the world of the Psy. A ghost returns from a leopard changeling’s past, making him question everything—even his base animal instincts…
Clay Bennett is a powerful DarkRiver sentinel, but he grew up in the slums with his human mother, never knowing his changeling father. As a young boy without the bonds of Pack, he tried to stifle his animal nature. He failed...and committed the most extreme act of violence, killing a man and losing his best friend, Talin, in the bloody aftermath. Everything good in him died the day he was told that she, too, was dead.
Talin McKade barely survived a childhood drenched in bloodshed and terror. Now a new nightmare is stalking her life--the street children she works to protect are disappearing and turning up dead. Determined to keep them safe, she unlocks the darkest secret in her heart and returns to ask the help of the strongest man she knows...
Clay lost Talin once. He will not let her go again, his hunger to possess her, a clawing need born of the leopard within. As they race to save the innocent, Clay and Talin must face the violent truths of their past...or lose everything that ever mattered.

LOL! You big BOOK PIMP you!
by Kati 8:35 AM, November 28, 2007I seriously can't wait for anything Nalini writes. This series for me has surpassed the BDB as my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the BDB, but overall, I think Nalini writes a more consistent story.
I'm so glad you're enjoying them. So hey, I still haven't heard from you...did you get THE WINDFLOWER???
I still have StS in my TBR pile. I'll read it eventually. I just have to be in the right mood for it.
by Dev 10:07 AM, November 28, 2007I love her books! I really don’t want to wait till February (sigh)
by Unknown 1:05 PM, November 28, 2007Oh well at least Nora’s latest is out. I’ll have to go pick it up today at lunch :o)
Where did you get your copy of The Windflower? All I can find are used ones that are over $30.
I haven't read her yet. I've meant too but haven't.
by Kelley Nyrae 3:55 PM, November 28, 2007Oh, I have my new website and blog. Check it out when you can, Stace. http://www.kelleynyrae.com
MK, I learn from the best *g*
by Stacy~ 6:38 PM, November 28, 2007Dev, it's a great series. I was getting burned on paranormals, but Nalini re-charged my batteries.
LeeAnn, I think we know about "The Windflower". I am being so careful with it, it's not funny. It was so nice of MK to let me borrow it, so I will treat it like my own.
Kelley, I'm gonna go over there now :)
WOOT! I am excited for this book. I loved the first 2 in the series. The third one, not so much.
by Chantal 6:40 PM, November 28, 2007HUrry up and get here '08.
I'm the total opposite of Chantal: I thought the first two books were good but not great. The third one, however, totally rocked the house. I hope Singh focuses more on the rest of the Lauren family in future books. And I'm looking forward to Mine to Possess, if simply to revisit the world.
by dancechica 9:41 PM, November 28, 2007I can't wait!!!! I love this series.
